Kim Broussard was born in Harlem, New York. She is a gifted songwriter, poet, author and inventor who gives praise and honor to God.
She has always loved music, and was introduced to the violin and classical music at an early age. She sang with several choirs and also performed with a few gospel groups. Her inspiration comes from God, her family, friends and life in general.
Her mom listened to all types of music when she was growing up: Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Rock, etc., from the Beatles to Curtis Mayfield. And her grandmother listened to country music.
Kim recently wrote and co-produced her new CD "You're The One!" What inspired her to write "You're The One?" The answer is simple ... Love! Love is one of the strongest emotions that we possess. It's something that we have all experienced and can relate to.
"You're The One" tells a story about a man who went through some storms in his life. He had a faithful and supportive woman who stuck by him during the difficult times. He ends up getting back on his feet and proposes to her. Even though she loves him, she was a little hesitant about marrying him because she has had so many bad experiences with men. Then he expressed to her that she was very special to him and reassured her of his love and devotion to her. Of course, they get married and ... well, you know ... live happily ever after!
Who are Kim's influences? So many, many influences: Mary J.
